This shaver makes your food salty quickly, and more importantly it's fun and interesting.It's really easy to oversalt your food... this isn't quite like a salt shaker.After time, you realize this is an advantage... this is easy to use with practice.
I've found it to be durable, since it's still shaving salt after much use.
