These are a good basic pair of tongs.The little locking mechanism is easy to activate (push down to 'unlock').They are relatively short, but for stovetop cooking that is the way to go because you have a lot more control (versus BBQing which you might want a slightly longer pair to save your hands).I like the way the finish looks on these things, it is a nice, quality looking stainless.That being said, sometimes when I put them in the dishwasher, there is still residue on the tongs (like grease/fat, etc). But I think this is because we have a weak dishwasher.I think we purchased these for about ten bucks, and for something that looks good and works well, that is a great deal.Product Description
