Was pleasantly surprised how small this scale was. Accurately measured the standard food or drink stuff that I got from Walmart. The tare feature is good. Just put the vessel on it press tare and it reads zero. But being a precision scale, I think it needs to be handled carefully. Could use it right out of the box since it came with batteries.
