I think this teakettle was designed a bit nicer than the other brand kettle with the copper bottom. After using it a while, it doesn't seem to get calcium build up much, but then again it's hard to tell to look inside the pot.I wish there was an easier way of filling up the pot to the proper max water level. If you overfill too much, the whistle won't work, it will just boil water out.Maybe a center cap to open to see the water level, and clean inside.Otherwise I have to lay the pot on the stove and see if the water is below the bottom of the spout. It does boil very quick with the copper bottom compared to an older keattle we had, with no metallic taste.
Product DescriptionI have always said the heart of the home is in the kitchen. No kitchen would be complete without a teakettle. You can spend hours upon hours with a good cup of tea and a cherished friend.
