Review of Iron Chef J65-0030 1.8-Quart Sauteuse with Bamboo Handle and Lid

This sauteuse is pleasing to the eye and more importantly a pleasure to use.Much, much lighter than my other (Lodge) cast iron pots and pans.Bamboo handle is easy to hold and is "stay cool".Pan is easy to clean and and conducts heat evenly. I also have the 8" skillet and the 12" skillet.

Product Description
Joyce Chen has teamed up with The Iron Chef, the wildly popular cooking show that sets the stage for world renown chef's to compete in a feverish, well-stocked, well-equipped stadium kitchen, to create a progressive, advanced technology cast iron cookware collection. Iron Chef cookware is produced using a new proprietary casting technology that enables the production of lightweight, thin-walled cast iron cookware. The technology involves a new process, a special alloy and unique tooling to create an iron casting with less porosity and more ductility. As a result, the casting is not as brittle as conventional cast iron ¿this translates into thinner, less heavy cast iron! Iron Chef cookware has captured the key benefits of cast iron cookware: even heat distribution, good temperature control and good heat retention. Iron Chef cookware has two coats of high-fired enamel on the outside and one coat of enamel as well as one coat of Whitford's highly durable, premium Quantanium non-stick coating on the interior. To remind us of Iron Chef'n Asian origins, the generously sized handles are made from burnished bamboo.Iron Chef cookware is a new concept in cooking. It provides all the positives of cast iron while overcoming the weight problem of traditional cast iron cookware.
