One night my husband spent three hours sharpening our Chicago Cutlery set by hand and afterwards said he wanted to find an electric sharpner. We started pricing them, but from what we saw they ranged from $80-$135. I went online and found the EverSharp and after reading the reviews purchased it and set it aside for XMas. I just have to say that it has lived up to expectations and then some. It's amazing how quick and effecient this sharpner is! In less than five minutes my husband had our Cutlery knives sharpened even better than they were when we originally got them. He then sharpened his mother's knives that have never had a good sharpening. I knew I had bought him a good product when after each sharpening he looked at the knife and whispered: "Oh my God!"
