This is a cool scale, with a retro/antique look. I don't think it looks cheap. It is actually a lot larger than I thought it would be, though, so make sure you have room on your counter. Removable tray is nice because you can put wet messy items directly on the scale and then just rinse off. You can adjust the calibration manually to zero, if you want to use another type of dish on the scale. I'm happy with my purchase.Product Description
