Review of Mundial 5100 Series 4-Inch Paring Knife, Red

I actually own the entire red set that includes chopping block and steel. It's attractive and the quality is commensurate with the price. They're not professional knives, but they are very sturdy, pretty well balanced - and sharp - I got a nasty deep cut slicing a pineapple and didn't even feel it at first. They slice, dice and peel fine.I bought the set for a kosher kitchen to use as "meat" knives. You should also invest in a knife sharpener, as the knives do lose their edge, but sharpen up quickly. Take the washing instructions seriously and wash them by hand: the stainless blades survive the dishwasher fine, but the veneer on the surface of the handle of the 4" knife has started to crack and drop off.
