As has been the case, for me, with all things lodge, the quality of this cast iron cookware is amazing.I didn't really need a dutch oven as large as this one, but when I saw this, I just couldn't resist.So far, I've only used it once (maybe because I just got it???) to make a shortrib recipe and it came out absolutely wonderful.I doubled up on all of the ingredients because I had to justify buying such a large dutch oven.Everything cooked evenly and to perfection.I've been using cast-iron rather heavily for about four years now and will never look back.Speaking of using it heavily, I must caution you - this thing is "heavy"!!!That is not a negative.It's just to mention that quality is not "free".In any event, you can always use it for doing "curls" when you are not cooking with it.Just kidding all.You will never be sorry if you acquire this cast-iron marvel!!!
