Great color, nice and heavy.This is not a lightweight pan so if you like lightweight pans, this might not be for you. I've tried the lightweight cheaper pans only to be disappointed.I love this one. I only wish it was a tad larger (or they offered a larger size). Highly recommend.
This is a cool scale, with a retro/antique look. I don't think it looks cheap. It is actually a lot larger than I thought it would be, though, so make sure you have room on your counter. Removable tray is nice because you can put wet messy items directly on the scale and then just rinse off. You can adjust the calibration manually to zero, if you want to use another type of dish on the scale. I'm happy with my purchase.
This thing is great!I've tried several mandolines--from the top-of-the-line unit to an inexpensive, but highly rated V-slicer, and another handheld.I sent the former back, gave the V-slicer away and the handheld broke.None of them served my purpose.All the blade changing and/or adjusting with the stationary mandolines was awkward and a lot of trouble considering I wasn't cooking for a restaurant--I just wanted to make salads for one or two, or a variety of other things, but usually in rather small quantities.This slicer is perfect.Now I can slice a leek, a carrot and part of a cucumber directly onto my salad in seconds.I can slice beets or other veggies very quickly and conveniently directly into the pot.The large knob on the bottom of this unit turns easily to create the desired slice thickness and a quick swish and rinse leaves it clean for the next time.I get high-end mandoline quality slices from the super sharp blade, but without all the set up and clean up time.This unit is sturdy and reliable.I couldn't be happier with my purchase.Between this and my Alligator dicer, my fruit and vegetable ingredients look professionally prepared and are done in a flash.
This block is handsome and matches my cherry cabinets.I had no problem loading my Henckels Twin Cuisine knives.My previous block that came free with my knives had a very high center of gravity and was constantly falling forward. Ever have a block of sharp German knives emptying out towards you? When I found I needed to warn every house guest I decided it was time to pitch the free Henckels block for this one which has more support in the front. No longer have the tipping problem.
We raise organic chickens here and had a non-stick tree before.It rusted after just a few times in the dishwasher that had a much smaller base.This base is nice and deep with a large diameter.Some of our chickens get to be about 10-12 pounds and they still stand up just fine.The grease drains out of the chicken as it bakes, so be sure to place the entire thing in the center of a baking tray (I line mine with foil for easier cleanup.)Just spray the entire tree and cone with Pam before adding the seasonig and chicken, and the entire thing comes out squeaky clean from the dishwasher.It is wonderful.We've had it for over a year and a half, using it as much as 3-4 times a month, and it still looks new!
All Clad utensils are made in China for the most part, but I still have a full set of tools with several add on tongs, fish turners, etc. The skimmer just isn't as functional as the pure mesh style skimmers. Sure it can skim out large items like bay leaves, bones, etc., but the foam and other minuscule items you really need to strain out just pass on through.
The product photo doesn't begin to do justice to this lovely teapot! It is a beautifully textured/distressed mossy green with a smooth black handle and enameled interior.The tiny leaves cascading across the lid, trivet, and top half of the pot resemble rubbings from a Japanese Maple. I purchased this item because I'm trying to avoid the coffee pot at the office and wanted a nice (but not fru-fru!) teapot for my desk that isn't breakable. Thanks to this classy item brewing my daily cup just got a lot more fun!
I have used this set since Jan.'08 and am very satisfied. I like the thiness of the blades for slicing meat for Jerky. Requires constant re-sharpening with ceramic diamond rod or a few passes on the Furi diamond "Finger" thing. Made in China of German steel, stamped not forged.

I love this strainer for berries and small amounts of pasta.It's very pretty and washes up great.I also have the larger sizes and they look very nice stacked up on the shelf on display.I love the handles too.I highly recommend.
I had to buy this lid as a replacement for a Cuisinart pot and it fits pretty well.Not totally snug but will definitely work.

Very nice steamer - I use it a lot for vegetables like asparagus.One thing I was worried about was whether it would fit in my pots properly, but the graduated ridges work fine with two of my pots.The fact that this onecomes with a glass top make it worth the extra money.The only negative isthat the handles can get hot, so be careful.
I decided to start replacing my plastic containers with glass equivalents. This is a good substitute for the ubiquitous "soup" container.
I love the Napoli design, and I do own the canisters. I did not buy them at Amazon. The quality is not what you might expect from a company that has been around as long as Pfaltzgraff. They are not as heavy or sturdy as I had hoped. I had one chip shortly after I bought it. I have also read other reviews online stating the dinnerware had similar issues. For that price, it should be better. Maybe that's what you get when an American product is made in China sometimes...
For the price, this skillet is a great buy! I bought it mainly for my kids to have something to make eggs in for breakfast.It cleans up really easily and has held up great to multiple uses every single day.
OK. I have a kitchen full of All Clad (great stuff), and cast iron (raised on it) but this Flame top pot is a thing of beauty. I find myself reaching for it again and again. Light, even heat distribution, holds the heat and sturdy (I don't pamper my cooking tools). And there is something ineffable about cooking in ceramic. It is pricey but I recommend not to every go cheap in the kitchen. If you don't have a lot of money and are just starting out, get this pan and an an olive wood spatula. You'll get a lifetime of joyful cooking out of both. (I had to sent it back several times because it arrived broken...patience will pay off.)
I love this pan, easy to use and the result is good.I bought another one one month after using it and am thinking to buy one more so I can make my baking faster.
I have several pairs of the Rosle locking tongs.I bought these silicone-tipped tongs for use with my enamel coated, Le Creuset Dutch Ovens and frying pan in order to avoid scratching the surface. As expected, they work extremely well and the silicon is grippier than some of the plastic-tipped tongs I have used in the past.Like all of the dozen or so Rosle products I have purchased (garlic press, food mill, can opener, etc.), these are well designed, precisely engineered, durable, heavy-weight products that function better than competitor's counterparts.The single-handed lock/unlock mechanism is wonderful and is why I purchased my first set of Rosle locking tongs.That feature is tremendously handy and sometimes borders on invaluable when you are moving fast in the kitchen and your other hand is occupied.
This new and improved Calphalon 12x24-inch Anodized Aluminum Half Round Wall Rack is perfect for use in a small kitchen. I mounted it with a molly bolt into the kitchen drywall and a wood screw into a stud. I used a Zircon electronic studfinder to find the stud. (Usually wall studs are 16 inches apart, so you will probably only be able to mount the rack onto one stud. Because this pot rack only has two mounting holes, I used a molly bolt for the other hole.) The wall rack must be well secured to the wall because the Calphalon pots and pans are quite heavy. This rack comes with 4 hooks, but you'll probably want to order more. I use hooks on the wall rack to hold long serving spoons, both slotted and plain. I hang hard-to-store items on the rack, like my wok and french roaster and rack, as well as my most frequently used items, such as my omelette pans. I was surprised at how useful and attractive this rack was in my small kitchen. If you move often, you might want to take a polaroid picture of your stocked wall rack so that you can easily duplicate your arrangement in your next kitchen.
I absolutely love this can opener!!It is amazingly easy to use and does not hurt using it.If you know anyone who has arthritis or other problems in their hands or wrists this is the can opener for them.My mom who can't use any cans openers loves this as well. This safety I can opener does not leave behind any sharp spots on the cans so there is no more worries about getting bad cuts.It also does not rusk like other openers do after getting wet or not dried completely.I think this can opener will last a very long time compared to the usual month or two.This can opener is the only one I would ever recommend.Progressive truely makes great products.
I was extremely pleased with the baking dish when I received it.The size, shape and color was evrything I expected.I would highly recommend this dish to anyone.
I really like this pot.It is the 11.6 quart and I was able to brown 11 chicken breasts at the same time all lined up next to one another with room to spare!I would have given five stars, but the lid does not fit well.No matter which way you turn it, it doesn't quite fit and leaves a small gap.I was cooking chicken and rice, and the gap did not affect the way the rice cooked.In fact, I was very pleased with the even distribution of heat, and the rice cooked evenly all around.I did read other reviews of different size pots, and this lid problem was mentioned, so apparently it is a recurring problem.Even with the lid not fitting, I still like this pot very much, and will probably buy some in other sizes.
I had this product and after many years of use it broke.I searched high and low and when I found it again - I was thrilled!The ButterMate is so handy and works great! You can slice thin layers of butter or thicker ones for your pancakes.Great for baking or just frying an egg. Is one of those little "gadgets" you must have.
First, note there is no lid included, as the illustrations in the product description might lead you to believe.
I am very pleased with these salad tongs. I think they are stainless steel, and fitting for any occasion.They are SO much better than the plastic tongs I see in the stores!I love them.
This is my favorite pizza cutter to date.It came with my baking stone.It is sharp and heavy -- it's hefty enough to slice through thick pizzas with minimum effort.I thought all pizza cutters were alike until I got this one.I can really feel the difference in quality.
Calphalon Classic Bakeware 10-inch round nonstick angel food cake pan was exactly what I needed. I have a Jewish Apple Cake that I make, and I needed this type of pan. I had to give away my old pan and get a new one because I have Celiac Disease. Anything that had flour in it had to be given away. It has been a long process. I could not find this pan locally. I tried making the cake in a 2 piece angel food pan. What a mess! It leaked out the bottom all over the place. So, I love my new pan. It solved the problem and works wonderfully!
This chocolatera is super for serving drinks at a patio party or everyday.The size is right; lightweight aluminum for easy carrying; nice serving spout.We use it (with a heavyweight potholder of course) to heat up our hot chocolate on our firepit.Nice inexpensive item we won't mind if we dent a bit.Great for cold drinks too.
THIS KNIFE IS GREAT, FINE BALANCE, HEAVEY ENOUGH THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO FORCE IT, VERY SHARP SEAMS TO KEEP EDGE GOOD, HANDLE FITS HAND JUST GREAT. DON'T THINK YOU COULD BUY ANY BETTER OR COME CLOSE TO THE PRICE FOR THIS QUALITY KNIFE.
This bowl is (like all the butterfly meadow I've purchased) much prettier than the picture. It has a delicate beauty, but is not at all fragile.
This turned out to be a bit too expensive for what it does, although it is high quality sharp!!! This has an excellent blade, but the plastic cover seems a bit flimsy where it bends & I see it breaking in two in the not so distant future, but not affecting it's main use. I have since bought a spice Microplane which I had been looking for when I impulsively bought this that puts this to shame!!! The metal storage container on this is cute & unique and it won't permanently hold odors, but I found no use for it. GR8 4 some, just not me.
This is a high quality cake pan.You will be passing this one down tosomeone.It is incrediably study.I have used mine to make molded jello,cakes, breads.This pan has no hot spots, and is well simply perfect!Donot limit yourself to just an occassional cake with this.
Well... looking at it you'd think there'd be a lot to say, but there isn't. This is a nice quality and unusual looking knife. The feature you and I all notice is that pointy tail end, but it isn't really, the tail is flat and normal knife width. It's just that the handle is more hand shaped, more shaped to hold, rather than shaped round the tang of the blade, as normal knives are. So it looks unusual, but it works well. I bought this as a test and I don't regret it.
I have used this pan 4 times, and have finally perfected it on the 4th attempt.I swore that if it stuck on my last attempt that I would through the pan out the window.The first several times I only greased the pan and the cakes stuck 3 of the times.The key is using "Baker's Joy", a cooking spray you can find in your local grocery store or through the Nordicware website.This spray greases and flours in one.I used it last night and my cake literally fell out of the pan--it was wonderful.It also made the pan cleanup 100 times easier.Also, you can only fill the pan 3/4 of the way or it will spill over.
There are several different configurations available for this type of product.This particular model has some features that the other reviews didn't mention, but were important in my decision to buy.

I've got loads of tongs, but this one is my favorite; I have it in red, and it is surprisingly sturdy.A bonus is that you can throw them in the dishwasher too.

This is a perfect size for 2 but you can easily serve up to 8.Every time I used it, I jiggle it loose and flip it on a plate and there it is. Perfect. No pieces stuck to the pan. I still coat it with shortening and flour it before I add the batter to it.This is a high quality pan that is sure to last many many years that you may end up passing it along to another member of the family.

I had been looking for an affordable, serrated santoku knife for a long time, but I was too chicken to just go out and buy one and be disappointed, so I read reviews.Billions of reviews!I finally settled on these J.A. Henckels Eversharp knives.They came in a 2-pack, and I found them at Bed Bath & Beyond (love that store!).I couldn't be happier with them!!I've had them for about 2 years now, and they are still as sharp as the day I got them.I use them often.They are comfortable to use, and they are awesome for slicing tomatoes and other thin-skinned fruits & veggies, as well as meat.They've gone into the dishwasher many, many times (top rack), and I haven't seen them rust at all!I would buy these again in a second!
This knife is well made, wood handels and steel non-rust blade.It takes a good edge and fits the hand well.
I bought two and they were better than I expected.The cast-iron pans are perfect for fajitas, but they also work great for a couple of hamburgers, bacon, veggies or anything else you'd like to "grill" on the stove (or on a real grill) when you don't need big, round, cast-iron pan.The top varnish on the wooden pan-holders quickly gets toasted, but that's part of it's charm, it goes with the cast iron.The little pot-holders for the handles are great for the table, but a larger mitt is safer while grilling.NOTE: this IS cast iron and you will need to properly "season" the pans before you first use them to keep food from sticking.
Bought the set of regular skillets [8 inch, 12 inch], wok skillet, 4 quart casserole with lid. Have used all, and they are excellent to cook with. All are light weight, as advertised. Easy to clean. Have been using them for 3 weeks. All arrived in very good shape. Recommend highly.
Bought this turner to replace a similar sized one I'd had for 40 years when the handle fell apart.It's even better quality than the old one.So happy to have it.
I've been using my Calphalon pan for over 2 years, as I bake bread weekly.I have had no issues with peeling, warping, or rusting.I also do not wash my pan in the dishwasher and would not recommend doing so.
We've tried several different styles of hot dog cookers.This one has performed the best.Very like a toaster, it prepares the buns and the hot dogs as we want them every time.Definitely worth the extra cost compared to other similar (but not the same) styles and makes far tastier hot dogs than the steamer style.
