Review of Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set

I purchased this set to upgrade from a TFal set I've had for about 15 years. I'm an amature chef and this set has exceeded my expectations!I love the selection and different sizes of the peices. Something for everything that I want to prepare.All the peices have a very nice weight to them and the bottoms are thick and heat distributes very easily (food browns beautifully).I love that they can also go from stovetop to oven (up to 500 degrees). The lids are interchangable, so each pan has a lid that fits! The lids also offer a very secure seal.In fact, you can create a vaccumm seal by turning the heat down or off so food can stay warmer longer (break the seal by turning the heat back up for a couple of secs and then remove the lid). The user guide recommends using low to medium heat for most cooking tasks because of the highy conductive aluminum base. This is true, my meals have cooked evenly and just as fast on a lower heat setting than I would normally use. The set is dishwasher safe, however the user guide says that over a long period, regular dishwasher cleaning will eventually scratch any cookware.I've enjoyed cooking with this set a lot, I was really surprised at the difference between this set and my TFal set...I've been missing out! The only reason I gave this 4 stars is becasue I'm sure there are better sets out there, but don't let that fool you, I LOVE this set!
