As for the popper itself, the other reviews pretty much cover it.More fun and healthier than microwave popcorn and easier to store than a hot air job.I use 1/8 cup olive oil to 1/2 cup popcorn and don't even bother turning the gear until I hear the first kernel explode.I'm hoping this will save wear and tear for next time.I melt a tablespoon or two of butter over the top just 'cause I like the taste and add a little salt right in the kettle (be sure to use a potholder...it's hot!).Once the popcorn is gone, I fit the lid back on and stick it back under the cabinet.I don't even bother to wipe it out.Keeps it nice and seasoned!
