This is a really nice cutting board/knife set for serving cheese.The bamboo board is well made and simple.Although the slot for the knife takes up a fifth of the area of the board, it's not much of a problem.It also would have been nice if there were a way to keep the knife with the board. The slot does keep the knife close at hand and it also keeps it out of the way.
The knife is sharp and had no trouble slicing and serving the cheeses we tried this board out with.Granted, they were mostly cheeses of the Cheddar consistency, so how it would have handled Brie or a hard cheese like Parm, we're not sure.For our purposes, the knife is quite excellent.
We were very pleased by the look and quality of this Henckels board.
