The handle is Y-shaped to stay cool; two large rivets hold it solidly in place. (Three hard whacks of the pot on a padded countertop couldn't loosen it) The pot's rim is rolled for easy pouring; corners are rounded so a whisk or spoon can get into them. The stainless steel lid seals tight. The three-ply bottom is a full quarter-inch thick, and my electric stove produced no hot spots.
