Although this Cuisinart Classic stainless set is a big improvement over discount store cookware, Amazon also sells Cuisinart's higher quality, though confusingly similarly named, Chef's Classic set for just a few dollars more.The Chef's Classic set has more substantial construction, with professional handles and stainless steel lids.For the few extra dollars it's probably the best value and performance in a stainless set, short of full tri-clad construction such as All-Clad or Cuisinart's own Multi-clad.BTW, the top ratings from online cooking sites are for the step-up Chef's Classic set, rather than this item.
